Caldwell University Students Raise $16,000 To Support Nepal Relief Efforts
Following the tragic earthquake in April, students and alumni set up the "Caldwell University Prays for Nepal" project.
Caldwell University students have raised over $16,000 to support relief efforts in the aftermath of the 7.8 earthquake that slammed Nepal on April 25.

After the quake hit, students and several alumni from Nepal began fundraising for their “Caldwell University Prays for Nepal” project.
Proceeds from their project will benefit the America Nepal Medical Foundation, stated a release.

Caldwell University Nepalese students Sudin Shakya, Hritesh Regmi and Assistant Director of Student Engagement Meghan Moran recently visited Aquinas Academy in Livingston to discuss the earthquake and the fundraising project with 6th grade students. During the visit, Aquinas students presented Caldwell with a check for $1,125 that they had raised.
Joan Marie Bellotti, an English teacher at High Tech High School in North Bergen, recently presented Caldwell University President Blattner with a check for $1,196, monies that Bellotti and the Tech High students had raised to support the relief efforts.

The Sisters of St. Dominic at St. Catherine of Siena Convent and St. Aloysius Parish in Caldwell also made donations to the effort.
