Handler, a comedian, actress, producer and Livingston native, was named one of the “100 most influential people in the world” by Time in 2012. In January, Handler declared that she no longer considers herself a Democrat because the two-party political system in the U.S. is “too divisive.”

But in May, Handler posted the below YouTube trailer for her eponymously named Netflix show, “Chelsea,” which boasts that “there's a new Democratic party in town and they're bigger, badder, and more badass than ever before.” WARNING: Video contains profanity.
