The Fairfield Police Foundation was recently formed as a not for profit way to provide needed funds for the Fairfield Police Department outside the municipal budget.
The Fairfield Police Department does not have all the equipment, programs and services that are available to other police departments. The goal of the Fairfield Police foundation is to provide local police with items that might not be affordable to the borough in light of the state’s imposed caps on municipal budgets.
Police officers become the first responders along with fire, rescue workers and other personnel, when a critical emergency threatens the lives of residents. They are there in a hurricane and superstorm and even when a freak snowstorm tears down trees and branches.
