Fairfield Store Sells $50K Powerball Ticket

FAIRFIELD, NJ — You may not have been one of the two New Jersey Lottery players who won a $1 million prize in the Aug. 23 Powerball drawing, but if you buy your tickets in Fairfield, you might have a smaller-but-still-awesome payday coming your way.
NJ Lottery officials said that 26 New Jersey Lottery tickets were sold for the Aug. 23 drawing that matched the four white balls and the Powerball drawn, winning a not-too-shabby, $50,000 third prize.
The $50,000 winning ticket in Fairfield was sold at Valero Fairfield, 650 Route 46 East.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Aug. 23 drawing were: 06, 07, 16, 23 and 26. The Red Power Ball number was 04. The Multiplier number was 04.
The Powerball jackpot resets to $40 million for the next drawing to be held on Saturday, Aug. 26 at 10:59 p.m.
