Food Recall At Supermarket In The Caldwells, Product May Contain Allergen

A grocery store in the Caldwells issued a voluntary recall for one of its in-house products. Here's what to know.

CALDWELLS, NJ — The ShopRite of West Caldwell issued a voluntary recall of its store-made Kosher Parve 6-Pack Cut Club Rolls on Tuesday.

According to the store, the rolls may contain egg, a known allergen and dairy ingredient not listed on the label.

The recall impacts 12-ounce packages of the store’s Kosher Parve 6-Pack Cut Club Rolls with the UPC code: 2086338004994.

This is an isolated incident and affects only the ShopRite of West Caldwell at 900 Bloomfield Avenue. No other products sold at ShopRite are affected by the recall, and no injuries related to the recall have been reported, spokespeople said.

ShopRite has reached out to the majority of its Price Plus club card customers who purchased the product to alert them about the recall.

Customers who purchased any of the recalled items at the ShopRite of West Caldwell can return them for an immediate refund or replacement, the company said.
