Frederick E. Quimby, 61, a lifelong Caldwell boy and familiar face around town, died on Sunday, April 3, 2011, at home in his beloved town of Caldwell.
Visitation was at Dancy Funeral Home, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell on Tuesday, April 5. A funeral service was held in the Calvary Lutheran Church, 23 S. Prospect St., Verona,on Wednesday, April 6. Interment followed at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Caldwell.
Fred was born in Glen Ridge, and lived his life in Caldwell. A friendly face around downtown Caldwell – townspeople and businesses alike were the recipients of Fred's daily visits. He enjoyed fixing things like watches, tape players, VCRs and lawnmowers; you name it, he tried to fixed it!

Fred was predeceased by his devoted parents, Ira and Lois Quimby. Surviving are his loving brother, Dennis W. Quimby, with his wife, Joyce; his cherished niece, Lauren; several cousins, and many friends.
