Longtime member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 68 of West Caldwell.

Jeffrey J. Henderson Sr., 60, of Fair Lawn, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 1, 2011.
Henderson was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 68 of West Caldwell, NJ for thirty-seven years, where he also served as a teacher. Friend of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn, he was a Boy Scouts of America leader.
Henderson was also a member of the NJ Live Steamers. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, constructing steam trains to perfection, traveling and spending time at the shore house.

He was employed as an operating stationary engineer with Cushman & Wakefield Co., Inc. of Newark, NJ for thirty-five years.
Beloved husband of Michele (Yurino) Henderson and former husband of the late Susan (Frisz) Henderson. Loving and devoted father of Nicole Rios and husband, Matthew, Jeffrey J. Henderson, Jr. and wife, Laura, and Megan Henderson. Cherished grandfather of Alex, Julia, Joshua, Trevor and Skye. Beloved son of the late Floyd and Julia (Williams) Henderson. Dear brother of Gale Bornkamp and her husband, Robert, and the late Floyd Henderson. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A funeral service was planned for Friday, May 7, 2011, 10 a.m. at Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Inc., 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ with committal service following at East Ridgelawn Crematory Chapel, 255 Main Avenue, Clifton.
