Join us for the 2nd Annual 5K Run for Education, Hosted by the Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation

Calling All Runners and Walkers for the CWCEF 5K Event, May 21st, James Caldwell High School

The Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation invites you to attend its 2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk for Education on May 21, 9:00am, at James Caldwell High School. The 5K is a family event for professional and casual runners and walkers and will include free Continental breakfast, Starbucks coffee, DJ/music and vendor shopping. The 5K is sanctioned by the NJ Track and Field Organization and is a certified 500 Grand Prix event. Proceeds from the 5K will fund creative educational programs, technology and new equipment at the Caldwell-West Caldwell public schools. Dozens of local companies are generously sponsoring the event, with Paul Miller Toyota and Stan Hladik's The Secret Insurance Agency as the two top sponsors.  

Participants may register online at www.cwcef5k.org or in-person at the Caldwell Community Center on May 19, 11am-8pm. Early bird registration is through May 9: $25 for adults/$20 for youth (5-18); after May 9: $30 for adults/$25 for youth. All registrants will receive an added bonus--a coupon good for a free haircut at David Chad Beauty Parlor, in Caldwell.

Prizes will be awarded to two overall winners, as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd male/female place winners in five year age increments (10 and under--through 85+ years). The 5K Award Ceremony is at 10:30am. Scoring and timing will be conducted by Tristate Timing.

The Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that is 100% volunteer run. The CWCEF actively fundraises to supplement the curriculum of our CWC public schools. To date, $200,000 has been awarded to our school district.
