Library Debt Forgiven Through Food for Fines

Patrons can bring non-perishable food donations to the Caldwell Public Library through Monday.

Do you owe money to the for overdue books? Now through Monday, Dec. 5, library patrons who bring in non-perfishable food donations will have their debt forgiven.

The Food for Fines drive at the Caldwell Public Library has been a huge success this season, reports director Adele Puccio.

"People are bringing in non-perishable goods in record numbers," she told Patch. "My staff said that they have collected more than last year."

While the drive officially ends Monday, patrons who drop off items after that date can be assured that their donations will make their way to the Caldwell Food Pantry.
