Mount St. Dominic Academy To Host Open House Event On April 18

Mount St. Dominic Academy, an independent, Catholic college preparatory school for young women, is thrilled to invite prospective students and families to an in-person Open House event. Taking place on Thursday, April 18, our beautifully tree-lined campus in the heart of Caldwell will welcome students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, along with their families, for a specially-timed program. Attendees will have the chance to meet our esteemed faculty, staff, and current student body, and explore the breadth of offerings at the Mount – from academics to arts, sports to service, and everything in between. Led by a faculty and staff specializing in how girls learn best, the Mount, which was awarded the 2023 Best of Essex Gold Medal in the "Best in Private School” category, offers a distinctive curriculum that combines a traditional liberal arts education and STEM, with innovative Signature Programs. These programs include the L.E.O. Program, a two-year Entrepreneurship Program; a Senior Capstone Program in Directed Research; and Academic Concentrations in Health Sciences and Social Justice – each providing students with real-world educational opportunities. In addition, the Mount is a recipient of the College Board AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for its outstanding achievement in fostering high female representation in both AP Computer Science A (CSA) and AP Computer Science Principles (CSP).
The Mount's curriculum emphasizes leadership, life skills, college preparation, and career readiness, reflecting the school's unwavering dedication to nurturing critical thinking, compassionate action, and the exploration of individual passions. In September 2023, Mount St. Dominic Academy celebrated its 131st year by warmly welcoming the young women of the Class of 2027. The school's most recent graduating class achieved remarkable success, collectively earning over $18 million in scholarships and grants, and securing a 100% acceptance rate into colleges and universities nationwide.

Mount graduates, empowered with the confidence to drive positive change, seamlessly transition to college, career, and beyond. Alumnae of the school are making impactful contributions across diverse fields, including finance, technology, healthcare, the arts, and education, holding notable roles in organizations such as Amazon, Bayer, Citibank, Google, Hulu, Weill Cornell Medical Center, and the U.S. Department of State.
Principal Hollenbaugh says, “Girls' schools prepare students for the real world by engaging them in activities that develop essential life skills. They also encourage students to think critically, creatively, and compassionately, preparing them to tackle real-world problems.”
