NLRB Rules Against Essex County Company: Wrongly-Fired NJ Workers Will Get Jobs Back
The janitors at Fairfield-based Eastern Essential Services were allegedly fired because they joined a union, reports say.

Fairfield, NJ – The janitors at Fairfield-based Eastern Essential Services will get their jobs back… with back pay.
Last week, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) upheld an earlier ruling that awarded 33 former office cleaners at the New Jersey company back pay and the return of their jobs.
In July, a Newark administrative law judge ruled that the company wrongly fired its workers in 2014 because they belonged to a union, NorthJersey.com summarized.

According to Local 32BJ of the Service Employees International Union, the workers are owed between $500,000 and $1 million in back pay.
