North Caldwell Cops Use ‘Body Beacons’ To Keep Safe On Traffic Duty (VIDEO)
In the Caldwells: Directing traffic at night can be a scary and dangerous situation for police officers.

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — Directing traffic at night can be a scary situation for police officers, not to mention dangerous. But thanks to donations made to the North Caldwell Police Foundation, local officers will have some help keeping safe: their own “Body Beacons.”
On Monday, the North Caldwell Police Department announced that each of its officers has been issued a Body Beacon, an emergency device that utilizes a flashing light to illuminate the user at night.
The equipment was purchased with donations made to the North Caldwell Police Foundation, and provided by Rescue Leaders, LLC, according to police.
