“By way of background, New Jersey recommends that every school district have a reopening plan four weeks before the start of school (that would be August 1 for our District). Working toward that goal, our administration has been reviewing guidance, speaking with other local districts and considering the feasibility of various options. The purpose of this meeting is to provide the community with an explanation of the options that are currently under consideration and the reasons for them.”
The BOE continued:
“The board and the administration are committed to an open and transparent process that involves input from the community, particularly when we are making such significant decisions. After hearing the presentation, community members will have the opportunity to ask questions at this meeting. Immediately following the meeting, we will be issuing an online survey to solicit input on these options. Given the importance of these decisions, we encourage you to attend this meeting.”
A link for the livestream of this meeting is posted on the district website. People can also join the meeting here.
