UPDATE: Construction 'Blasting' In The Caldwells Postponed For 9/11: Police
Work originally slated for Sept. 11 has been rescheduled for Sept. 12. It's expected to last several weeks, North Caldwell officials say.
NORTH CALDWELL, NJ -- Update: North Caldwell and Verona police announced Monday that the blasting originally slated for Sept. 11 has been postponed to Tuesday, Sept. 12, "in remembrance of 9/11." Blasting on the Hilltop will begin on Sept. 12 and continue for several weeks, officials said. Our original article follows below.
If you hear loud noises that sound like "blasting" in North Caldwell on Monday, Sept. 11, don't panic, authorities say.
According to the North Caldwell Police Department, contractors will be blasting rock on the Hilltop Construction site. "Please be aware that this will result in loud noises throughout the day," police stated.
