A small aircraft made an emergency landing at Essex County Airport in Fairfield on Wednesday due to a fire, authorities say.
Fairfield, NJ – A small aircraft made an emergency landing at Essex County Airport in Fairfield on Wednesday due to a fire, authorities stated.
According to the Fairfield Fire Department, one of the plane’s engines caught fire, forcing an emergency landing around 5:29 p.m.
Fairfield firefighters extinguished the flames within minutes of the plane’s landing, authorities stated.
