"The Caldwell Police Department was made aware of the incident reported to the parents of the GCMS on Friday and we are actively investigating the matter," the police wrote. "In line with what the PD already does, we will have police officers at the school in an effort to be proactive as we always have extra vigilance in and around all of our schools."

Conklin said, "I cannot comment on student matters as they are privileged and confidential. I also cannot comment on an active police investigation. However, I can report that the Caldwell Police responded immediately and are investigating the threats. The school’s administrators will reinforce the district’s safety and security plan and follow all guidance from the local police departments."
