Residential Burlgary Near Caldwells; Police Remind Area Residents to Lock Up

Police in the area are reminding residents to lock their homes and cars following a burglary in Essex County over the weekend.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Several break-ins and burglaries occurred around the area recently, including one over the weekend that prompted a reminder from a nearby police department.

The Fairfield police sent out this message on Halloween: "A residential burglary occurred over the weekend off of Fairfield Road. We remind you to ensure all your doors and windows are locked when you leave your home to try and prevent these incidents from happening."

They noted, "Additionally, if you see something, say something." You can call your local police department or 911.
