Sparks, Fire From Downed Wire In Fairfield; Roads Closed (VIDEO)

FAIRFIELD, NJ — A downed live wire caused road closures in Fairfield on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The Fairfield Police Department posted a video from the scene at Fairfield Road and New Dutch Lane, which also included a response from the Fairfield Fire Department (watch below).

Fairfield police advised local residents and commuters that there will be road closures in the area and that they should plan alternate routes.

No additional information was immediately available.
