The WEAA Awards Artists in 74th Members Exhibition

The West Essex Art Association is pleased to announce the winners of their 74th annual Members Exhibition held at the Crane’s Mill Town Square Gallery, 459 Passaic Ave., West Caldwell, NJ. The 32 entries, by member artists, include sculpture and work in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, collage and mixed media. 

The awards were presented by Association President, Constance Seugling and Show Chair, Louise Woodcox at a reception held at the Saturday October 12th. The judge for the show was noted artist, Lisa Palumbo.

The Best in Show award was presented to Caldwell artist, Mary Bryne, for her pastel painting entitled “For Bob”.

Additional awards are as follows:

WEAA Award of Excellence – “Santorini by the Sea” by Phyllis Huggett, North Caldwell
WEAA Merit Award – “Reflexion” by Isabella Pizzano, Denville
Crane’s Mill Merit Award – “Orange Flowers & Purple Grapes” by Carolina Medina, North Caldwell
Honorable Mention –  “Orange & Black” by Carmel Bongiovani, North Caldwell
Honorable Mention – “Pleasant Valley Sunday” by Richard Haynes, Fairfield
Honorable Mention – “Duck in the Park” by Richard Murphy, Verona
Honorable Mention – “Spring” by Marcia M. Branca, West Caldwell

The show is open to the public at the gallery from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., until November1.
