West Caldwell Firefighter Reports Blaze At His Apartment

A fire took place at the apartment of a West Caldwell Fire Department captain on Nov. 10, according to authorities.

Tom Bradley called his colleagues to report that his 2nd floor apartment on Bloomfield Avenue was ablaze around 10:14 p.m., TAP Into stated.

Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to locate the flames through thick, black smoke that filled the apartment, eventually taming the fire with hand lines, West Caldwell Fire Chief Jim Alvine told TAP Into.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, TAP Into reported.
