West Caldwell Police: Runnymede Road Closed Twice In 1 Day
West Caldwell police closed a section of Runnymede Road twice in one day due to a downed utility line in Essex Fells, authorities said.

WEST CALDWELL, NJ — West Caldwell police closed a section of Runnymede Road on Tuesday morning due to a downed utility line in Essex Fells, authorities said.
According to the West Caldwell Police Department, Runnymede Road between Deerfield Road and Brookside Ave was closed in both directions due to a utility line down in Essex Fells at 227 Runnymede Road.
“Utility crews are on scene making repairs,” West Caldwell police stated at 11:15 a.m. The road was reopened at 3 p.m., police said.

However, soon afterwards, this happened, police said:
"Runnymede Road between Deerfield Road and Brookside Ave is closed once again in both directions in Essex Fells at 227 Runnymede Road while utility crews make additional repairs from the prior utility issue."
