West Caldwell Water Main Break May Affect Sanford Avenue Residents' Pressure, Cause Discoloration

"Some area residents may experience lower than normal water pressure and possibly discolored water," West Caldwell authorities said.

WEST CALDWELL, NJ — West Caldwell authorities reported Monday morning that a water main break on Sanford Avenue may have left some residents with below-normal pressure and possibly discolored water.

According to an 8:47 a.m. alert from the West Caldwell Police Department, Sanford Avenue “will be closed in both directions until further notice” while the West Caldwell Water Department repairs a water valve.

“Some area residents may experience lower than normal water pressure and possibly discolored water,” West Caldwell authorities said.

The West Caldwell Police Department issued a previous alert about the water main break on Sunday at 2:12 p.m., stating that local traffic may have been affected.
