West Essex Choral Students Enjoy Master Class

West Essex High School choral students in Mrs. Rizzo's classes spent an afternoon working with professional opera singer and vocal instructor Ken Magos of Maplewood.
Students performed solos and Mr. Magos would make suggestions. Matt DeFazio, pictured above, performed a solo from "Guys & Dolls" and after Mr. Magos suggested he walk around when he sang and interact with the audience, his performance improved dramatically and everyone in the audience cheered. Victoria Jenison, below, sang "When She Loved Me" from the film "Toy Story 2." Mr. Magos also made a few suggestions and Victoria improved her vocal performance as well.Mr. Magos also spoke to students about his career, healthy singing habits and vocal production.
