West Essex High School Boy Runs Fastest Mile in Essex County

Local West Essex Senior, Ryder Morrello, ran the fastest mile (1600 meter) at the ECADA Indoor Track & Field Individual Championships in Staten Island last week.

Ryder delivered an impressive 4:28 making him place 1st and bringing the gold medal home to the West Essex High School Track Team.

Ryder Morrello was up against 48 of the top runners in the county and competed against runners from St Benedict’s, Montclair Kimberley Academy, Seton Hall Prep, Livingston, Millburn, Caldwell, Montclair, Columbia, Bloomfield, West Side, Verona, East Orange, Millburn, Nutley, Irvington and West Orange.
