You Can Donate To Help Tornado Victims At Essex County Location
The department is collecting everything from bottled water to pet food that will be brought in a truck to Hopkins County, Ky.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The Department of Senior, Youth, And Leisure Services in Livingston is working with an Essex County trucking company to accept donations of the following for the victims of the devastating tornado in Kentucky, starting this weekend.
The collection at a Livingston-based site will run for only two weeks, through Jan. 1.
They Need:

- Bottled Water
- Moving boxes
- Plastic Totes
- Cleaning supplies
- Extension Cords
- Plastic gloves
- All toiletries
- Plastic take-out containers
- Dog/cat food
All Donations can be dropped off at SYLS Office, 204 Hillside Ave., Livingston, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday Dec. 18 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the upper level lobby, and Sunday during the same hours, in the lower level lobby. Deadline for drop off is Jan. 1, 2022.
MMG Transportation is donating a truck to use to bring the supplies to Kentucky.

"We directly contacted Hopkins County Tornado Relief in Kentucky to find out their immediate needs," said Liliana Branquinho.
