$139K Lotto Ticket Sold In Morris County

Jersey Cash 5 Jackpot will be split with an Atlantic County winner.

MADISON, NJ - One Morris County lottery player earned 50 percent of a $139,288 Jersey Cash 5 Jackpot from the Wednesday, Jan. 2 drawing. Each ticket is worth $69,644.

The winning numbers were: 03, 10, 33, 39 and 40 and the XTRA number was: 04. Those tickets were sold at the following locations:

• Atlantic County: Terry’s Deli, 43 Mays Landing Road, Somers Point; and
• Morris County: Garden State News, 43 Main Street, Madison.

“We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at Terry’s Deli and Garden State News. The retailers will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for each winning ticket sold," Acting Executive Director James Carey said. "Overnight, they have become two more ‘lucky locations’ for the very fortunate lottery winners.”

Carey said that there were 273,720 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 33 ticket holders won $692 each and 6 others won $2,768 each with the addition of XTRA. Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 1,581 ticketholders won $16 each and 292 others won $64 each with the addition of XTRA. Lastly 3,534 ticket holders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
