Chatham golfer Ben Alcorn, a junior, won the individual championship at the NJSIAA North 1 and 2 Group 2 tournament on Monday, advancing to play in the Tournament of Champions at Rumson Country Club next Monday. Alcorn shot a 74 at Rockleigh Golf Course to tie for first with two other players and birdied the second playoff hole to win the individual title. Chatham finished in fourth place in the competition with 331 points behind Ramsey (314 points), Mahwah (330 points) and Del Val (330 points).
