Basketball Teams Move On to County Finals
Swim team makes it to state tournament for the third time in four years.

The Chatham High School girls basketball team defeated Morris Catholic in overtime Friday. They then lost to Morris Catholic 49-44 on Monday and defeated Mountain Lakes 50-49 on Tuesday. Their record now stands at 23-2.
They now advance to the MCSSADA finals against Jefferson on Friday, Feb. 24 at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Tickets are on sale through Friday for $5.

- The ice hockey team lost to Kinnelon 5-2 in the Mennen Cup. Nick Citron scored in the second period, assisted by William Barnett. Brian Leonard scored in the third period. Goalie Jordan Boles had 31 saves on the game. The team record now stands at 14-1-9.
On Saturday:
- The indoor track team competed in the NJSIAA Group 2 state finals. Anthony Malatesta finished third in the 3200-meter run with a time of 9:35, besting his personal record by 10 seconds over 2011. Malatesta's run also qualifies him for the Meet of Champions on Saturday, Feb. 25. In the 4-x-400 relay, Pierre Pais ran his best time of the year at 53.1 and Aaron Young split 55.5. The relay team finished in 3:42.
- The boys basketball team defeated Randolph 52-48 to advance to the MCSSADA finals against Mount Olive on Saturday, Feb. 25. The game will be held at the County College of Morris. Tickets are on sale through Friday for $5.
- The JV boys basketball team defeated West Morris Central 45-44 to advance to the Morris County Coaches Tournament finals against Morris Hills on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Morristown Beard. Tickets are $2 for students and $3 for adults.
- The JV girls basketball team defeated Mountain Lakes 31-20.

- The boys basketball team lost to Madison.
- The JV girls basketball team defeated Morris Catholic 38-35.
- The JV ice hockey team lost to Randolph 4-2.
On Tuesday:
- The girls swim team defeated Northern Highlands to advance to the NJSIAA State Group B Finals against Haddonfield on Sunday, Feb. 26 at The College of New Jersey.
- The boys basketball team was defeated by Mountain Lakes 49-45.
Trip Burke of the ice hockey team won the division-wide Otto Haas Memorial Trophy for Sportsmanship in the Mennan Division of hockey. Jordan Boles won honorable mention and Burke and Robert Graziano made the second team All Stars.
There are no games scheduled for Wednesday.
