10 Facts about the Chatham Newcomers and Neighbors Club

Dear Chatham Patch Readers,

As the president of the Chatham Newcomers and Neighbors Club, I am so thrilled you are reading the club's very first blog post, courtesy of the Patch! First, thank you to the Patch for being such great supporter of CNNC and providing us with this excellent forum.

 As an opener, I wanted to give you our top ten most useful facts about the club:

 10.   You do not have to be "new"! We are open to ALL RESIDENTS! I, myself, am a lifelong resident of Chatham.

 9.   We connect members with age-specific playgroups for their kids.

 8.   We are now year round! The end of summer boredom!

 7.   At least once a month, we have ladies night out. Past awesome experiences from 2011 include the wine and shop event at Saks, a private art gallery viewing and rock wall climbing.

 6.   Our FABS group celebrates our female members in their forties, fifties and beyond for some kid-free celebrations! Recent FABulous events include tea at the Plaza, a special holiday party and chocolate tasting and the monthly coffee gathering.

 5.   Our newest offering, Men's Poker, is quickly becoming a very popular club event culminating with the famous Poker Tournament!

 4.   Our book club reads all the hottest titles with monthly selections highlighted in advance. Oprah gets her recs from us!

 3.   Not to brag, but famous attendees include Santa and the Easter Bunny at our always-popular children's programs (the Great Pumpkin was a no-show yet again this year but the kids LOVED the hayride and pumpkin picking anyway).

 2.   Our social events are the talk of the town: ice luge, wine tasting, Sally Lunns, WINTER BALL, Super Bowl, progressive dinner (just to name a FEW!!!!)
