CES Teaches CPR

Chatham Township DPW employees attend CPR class at Chatham Emergency Squad.

The Chatham Emergency Squad recently held a CPR class at their Township building for employees of the Chatham Township Department of Public Works.

The instruction was directed by CES members and certified CPR instructors, Peter Herslow and Jerry Medina.  The training included instruction on the proper usage of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED), as well as the treatment of choking victims.

In addition to its primary task of responding to medical and trauma emergency calls in the Borough and Township, the Squad participates in various public service activities, including CPR instruction classes, blood drives, ambulance coverage for special events, patient transport or lift assists and building tours.
