Local Swimmer Preps for 2012 Olympic Trials at Somerset Hills YMCA
Chatham's Greta Leberfinger trains at Somerset Hills YMCA in Basking Ridge.

In preparation for the 2012 Olympic Trials, I have established a training schedule, which includes the following:
1. Swim Training- I swim seven days a week at the Somerset Hills YMCA in Basking Ridge. My training consists of stroke techniques, distance sets in order to get my endurance up, and other in the pool exercises.
2. Weight Training- I lift two days a week for about an hour and a half. I begin each lifting session with a stretching routine followed by various types of strength excersises. For example; bench pressing, squatting, pull ups, band work, etc. I end each session with a set of abdominal routines intended to strengthen my core.

3. Yoga-I take two yoga classes a week in order to provide balance and flexibility to my program.
4. Chiropractic- I visit the chiropractor twice a week in order to keep my back loose and relieve any stiffness from my training.

I am looking forward to competing in Omaha with some of the best swimmers in the world.
