Chatham Wrestlers Joseph Enright and Jackson Hodges Win Novice Portion Of Season-Ending NJYWT

Enright and Hodges Win The Novice Portion Of The North Jersey Youth Wrestling Tournament

The Chatham Youth Wrestling Club competes in three leagues, one of which is the North Jersey Youth Wrestling League. This league consists of 26 teams throughout New Jersey. On Saturday, February 23, 2013 eight members of the clinic portion of our club (our little guys) successfully competed in the NJYWL's season ending tournament.

Joseph Enright (54) and Jackson Hodges (57) went undefeated, beating everyone in their respective brackets to take home a gold medal. Leo Stratka (44) and Tommy Mitzak (49) earned silver medals after going 2 and 1 in their respective weight classes. Jake Silhan (37), Charlie Decesare (43), and Jake Blair (60) each won a match and took home a bronze medal and Brandan Dean (45) finished the day in fourth.

Each one of these boys wrestled three times on Saturday morning. If you have not wrestled, that's quite a day. We are very proud of these boys and we thank them for representing Chatham at this event. These boys and so many others represent the future of wrestling in Chatham.
