How to Stay Healthy and Live Longer
What action steps allow some to live longer, healthier lives?
In my last posts, we examined some of the reasons there is a "healthcare crisis" in America. It has much to do with our not being healthy to start with rather than the lack of available intervention once we are sick. (That's why insuring more people won't make them any healthier, but that is a subject for another blog post).
So, how do we get and stay healthy? Using the WHO definition of health as well as my own, I have developed my 5 Factors of Good Health that I teach at my seminars and to my patients. They are: 1. Proper Nutrition, 2. Regular Exercise, 3. Proper Rest; 4. Positive Mental/Spiritual Attitude, 5. Regular Holistic Healthcare.
These would seem to be self-evident, yet, even though many people claim to know how to stay healthy and manage their weight, very few actually take the action steps to do it!

Here, in beautiful Chatham and surrounding communities like Millburn, Madison, Summit, New Providence, Basking Ridge, etc., we are not representative of most of America. We are blessed to live in an area with some of the highest standards of living, finest public education, and most modern healthcare facitities. Yet, even here many do not know how best to get and stay "healthy".
In future posts I will talk about each one of my 5 Factors of Good Health individually and give my recommendations so you can all enjoy good health now and through retirement.
