Several Chatham Wrestlers Medal at Kinnelon Colts Tournament; Mulcahy Takes Gold

Cougars have impressive showing as 132-pounder takes top spot in weight class.

Several JV and varsity wrestlers had medal-earning performances at the Colts Classic Wrestling Tournament held at Kinnelon High School on Saturday.

Leading the pack was Dylan Mulcahy, who took first at 132 pounds in what some may have considered to be an upset victory in the finals. Mulcahy beat Nick Carbonaro, a regional qualifier from Woodbridge last year, in a tightly contested bout that came down to the final 20 seconds when Mulcahy broke the tie and scored three near fall points. Mulcahy had several tough matches throughout the day, en route to his finals victory.

Also medaling for Chatham [Saturday] was Tom Penn who took second in the 285 weight class.
