St. Patrick School Track Team Sets Multiple Records
The St. Patrick School track team wrapped up an incredible season with a record 64 medals at the Holy Trinity Invitational.
Congratulations to the St. Patrick School Track Team on an outstanding season! The team had their final meet at the Holy Trinity Invitational in Westfield and finished 2nd out of 17 teams. St. Patrick won a school record 64 medals at the meet with 31 runners winning medals and 11 runners winning their events. This was an outstanding effort against a field of over 700 runners.
At the meet, St. Patrick runners set 9 school and grade records. Congratulations to new record holders Greg Goetz (6th grade 1600m 5:59.50), Sarah Wittmer (6th grade 1600m 6:29.50 and 800m 2:56.60), Meaghan Heflin (2nd grade 100m 18.74), Molly Farrell (3rd grade softball throw 51 feet 3 inches), Ava Fekete (4th grade softball throw 50 feet 11 inches), and Kevin Agnew (3rd grade softball throw 78 feet 5 inches). Relay records were also set for the Varsity Girls Fitzpatrick Relay (Claire Brough, Catherine Brough, Lauren Carini, Sarah Wittmer and Mariana Deicas) and for the JV Boys Fitzpatrick Relay (Alex Novello, Marco Deicas, DJ Carini, Paul Ames and Frankie Windels)
This year’s team was led by standout runners Sarah Wittmer and Kevin Agnew. Sarah, a 6thgrader set five school grade records, one in every event she competed in this season (1600m, 800m (twice), 400m, Long Jump). She also medaled in every event she entered. Kevin, a 3rd grader set a meet record in the 800m in a time of 3:00.5. He is now the fastest third grader (800m) in the 34
year history of the Holy Trinity Invitational!

In addition to the Holy Trinity Meet, the team also won an additional 88 medals at the Union Catholic HS invitational, Our Lady of Sorrows Invitational and the North Jersey Masters Open Track Meet in Ridgewood. Congratulations to all of the St. Patrick runners for their hard work throughout the season.
