The Chatham Emergency Squad Celebrates Its 1,000th Pint of Donated Blood

CES has run blood drives for the past several years; on Saturday the 1000th pint was donated.

On Saturday, March 11th, the Chatham Emergency Squad held its winter blood drive. As expected, by 9:30AM, blood was drawn from the 1,000th donor to the Squad’s multi- year campaign. Allison Albert of Chatham was that donor and she was recognized with token gifts supplied by New Jersey Blood Services, who was on hand for the drive. The moment was commemorated with a sheet cake and picture taking. The day was an overall success with 41 pints of blood donated. The squad conducts these blood drives 3 or 4 times a year. The Chatham Emergency Squad is an all volunteer organization serving the Chathams 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Visit chathamemegencysquad.org for more information or to donate.
