Chatham Manages Just 3 First Downs, Falls to Rivals

Adams scores team's lone touchdown as Cougars suffer first defeat of the season.

The Chatham High football team couldn't overcome Madison's stellar running game and fell for the first time this season on Saturday afternoon at Ted Monica Stadium. Chatham's Dylan Adams led the way on the ground with seven carries for 93 yards and a touchdown.

A high-octane running game by the home team dealt the Cougars an early deficit they could not overcome. Chatham mustered just three first downs all day against a stingy defense.

Dylan Adams accounted for about half of the team's yards and the only score for the visitors. The Cougars totaled 150 yards of offense—including negative two passing yards—and came within three minutes of getting shutout.
