Chatham Native Tries Her Luck On 'Wheel Of Fortune'

The Ocean Township teacher will play tonight.

CHATHAM, NJ— A Chatham native will get to spin the wheel tonight, when her episode of Wheel of Fortune airs.

Jenny Orwick, 27, told the Asbury Park Press that competing on the show is a dream come true.

“I watched ‘Wheel’ growing up my whole life, every night. I’m a huge fan,” Orwick told the paper. “But I never heard back when I applied.”

She finally got her spin this April, when she was invited to audition in Manhattan. To prepare for her taping, Orwick studied common letters and phrases, and strategies and tricks other contestants had used on the show.

Orwick isn't allowed to say if she won any money, but the Wayside Elementary School teacher is expecting her first child, and would like to save for the baby's arrival.
