Chatham Police Collect Gifts For Kids In Need This Season

CHATHAM, NJ — The Chatham Borough and Township Police Departments each have their own toy and gift drives for young people in need this holiday season, with time left to donate.

Chatham Borough Police are coordinating a Toys for Tots drive through Wednesday, Dec. 15.

People who would like to donate new and unwrapped toys can do so daily until the deadline from 7 a.m. to 7 pm., in the Chatham Borough Police Department lobby at 54 Fairmount Avenue.

Chatham Township Police Department and PBA 170 are also coordinating a toy drive for new and unwrapped toys and gifts for kids of all ages.

They can be dropped off to the Chatham Township Police Department at 401 Southern Boulevard until Dec. 17.

The township police department has said the best time to drop off toys is between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

“With your thoughtful and generous support,” Chatham Township Police wrote, “this annual gift of giving will again bring smiles, comfort and joy to so many ill and less fortunate children this holiday season.”
