The Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township (PCCT) invites the community to celebrate its 60th year on Sunday, September 8. Festivities begin at the 10am worship service where all of the church’s musical groups will ring and sing. The service will be followed by a picnic on the front lawn, featuring games and a snow cone machine to entertain the kids. There will be photos of the church and congregation through the decades and an opportunity to share memories.

In 1959, the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township was founded by a group of 224 faithful members who saw a need and had a vision for a new church in Chatham Township. The congregation worshipped in the basement gym of the Southern Boulevard School before the first building, a multi-purpose educational facility, was constructed. Sixty years, 3 buildings, and 3 pastors later, PCCT has grown into a vibrant community where PCCT members have committed themselves to supporting a wide range of mission projects as well as vibrant music, children and youth programs.

The Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township is a vibrant, multi-generational congregation that celebrates the glory of God through faith, fellowship, and service. Drawing members from three counties and more than 20 communities, it welcomes all, whether you are a young family, a single adult, or a couple with grown children. The congregation reflects diverse perspectives, provides rich music and educational programs for all ages, and through social outreach addresses hunger, homelessness and recovery from disasters or other crises. The church is located at 240 Southern Boulevard. Sunday worship services are at 10 a.m. If you are interested in becoming a member or learning more, visit us at www.pcct-nj.org or call the church office at 973-635-2340.
