Chatham Resident Wins $250,000 on 'Jeopardy!' Tournament of Champions

Vijay Balse had won $82,400 on the show in March.

Chatham resident Vijay Balse, who won $82,400 over the course of four days on ABC's "Jeopardy!" in March, just added a whole lot more to his winnings.

Balse, who lives on River Road, won the game show's Tournament of Champions on Friday, taking the $250,000 prize that goes along with that title.

He has been watching the show for many years, and it paid off during the competition. Balse vaulted ahead of Stefan Goodreau during Final Jeopardy, when he correctly guessed that "Ben-Hur" was the first work of fiction blessed by the Pope.
