Chatham White 11U Falls to Undefeated Watchung 8-6

The odds didn't look good for the home team when Chatham White's 11U Summer Travel baseball team took on the undefeated visitors from Watchung. But with Michael Vintzel getting his first start on the hill, Chatham came out fighting. Vintzel pitched three strong innings and the home team quickly put up three runs in the first with consecutive base hits by Kyle Holmes, Liam Holland and Gabe Park. Unfortunately Watchung's closer stifled Chatham bats in the 6th as Watchung held on for an 8-6 win. Max Schaefer had a strong game at shortstop and on the mound and Liam "Hollywood" Holland threw out two baserunners at home. Vintzel and Thomas Wolf added hits for Chatham White which returns to their home field Monday for a game against Bridgewater.
