Chatham Woman Accused In Fatal Madison Hit-And-Run Back In Court
Cheon A. Lee will appear before a judge on Monday.
CHATHAM, NJ - The 58-year-old Chatham woman arrested and charged in the motor vehicle death of a Madison woman will face a judge Monday morning.
Cheon A. Lee will appear before Judge Robert Hanna in Morristown. at 8:30 a.m.
Lee was arrested less than 24-hours after fleeing the scene of the accident that claimed the life of a 68-year-old woman, identified in court records as "P.B."

The documents allege that Lee was driving the car that struck and killed P.B. on Green Village Road in Madison on June 28 and then fled the scene. After the crash, the vehicle was last seen continuing north on Green Village Road, making a right onto Kings Road and was last observed traveling eastbound on Kings Road past the Madison Area YMCA at approximately 5:15 p.m.
Witnesses who saw the accident were able to identify the 2014 Nissan Rogue driven by Lee, and the investigation that included warrants for cell phones, computers and video surveillance turned up video of the Rogue with front passenger side damage.

Court documents show that at just before 11:30 a.m. on June 29, Lee called the Madison Police Department and took responsibility for the accident. Chatham Police were notified and the Rogue was found in a parking lot on Main Street in Chatham.
Lee was charged with Knowingly Leaving Scene of Accident Resulting in Death, a crime of the second degree.
Lee will appear before Judge Robert Hanna in Morristown at 8:30 a.m. in courtroom C401.
