Chathams Named Top Towns For NJ Families: Report
Chatham Borough and Chatham Township are in the list of top 50 towns for families according to New Jersey Family Magazine.
CHATHAM, NJ - Chatham Borough and Chatham Township are among some of the best towns for families in New Jersey, according to a new ranking published by New Jersey Family magazine.
The magazine looked at towns with more than 1,500 residents, and took into account several key factors, including average home sale price, crime rates, school performance, commute time, and diversity. They then took that data to find the different rankings, including the best overall, best for commuters, and best large, mid-sized, and small towns.
Chatham Borough, with a reported population of 8,928, ranked 15 on the list. Chatham Township, with a reported population of 10,435, ranked 42.

Now in its fourth year, the list ranks New Jersey towns through the lens of how family friendly they are. The April issue of New Jersey Family features the rankings of all New Jersey municipalities with populations of more than 1,500 people, and includes profiles of the top towns in 11 counties.
