It's been a long few days of baseball and apple pie as the U12 team gutted out their 6th game since Sunday. The loss to the Irish Black of Ohio puts the record at 2-4 going into the playoffs but anyone following this blog knows that the record could easily be 4-2 or even 5-1. Tonight's performance was highlighted by solid pitching from Nick Vivona, Ben Gorski and Brendan Maguire, who only let up 1 earned run all night as well as consistent play from Drew Dinnhaupt at second base. Offensively, Brian Cook continued to hit, Zach Hoban scored 2 runs and Matt Connolly had a pretty sacrifice bunt. Our first playoff game is at 8am tomorrow so it will be an early start to our Wednesday.
