Election Guide: Where To Vote, Who's On The Ballot In The Chathams

Local, county, state races all competitive for Tuesday's polls.

It seems like so long ago when a variety of residents in Chatham Borough and Chatham Township threw their respective hats into the ring for the June Primary Election.

Well, the time to punch ballots has finally come, and voters will hit the polls Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In Chatham Borough, Mayor Bruce Harris is running unopposed, but three candidates – Patrick Carroll, Peter Hoffman, and Leonard Resto – are all vying for two seats on the Borough council.

In Chatham Township, committeeman and Mayor Kevin Sullivan is opposed by Katherine Abbott for a three-year seat on the governing body.

Michael Patrick Carroll and Anthony M. Bucco are opposed by Democrats Richard Corcoran and Thomas Moran for the General Assembly for two open spots in the November Election.

The all-GOP Freeholder race that has gained much attention, with seven candidates seeking three seats.

They include the team of John Krickus, David Scapicchio, and Deb Smith running against the trio of John Cesaro, Christine Myers, and Angelo Tedesco. Lastly, Thomas Mulligan is also running but unaffiliated with any other candidate.

Voting locations in Chatham Borough include:

  • District 1: 16 Milton Ave.
  • District 2: 1 Firehouse Plaza
  • District 3: 16 Milton Ave.
  • District 4: 480 Main St.
  • District 5: 102 Washington Ave.
  • District 6: 21 Lum Ave.
  • District 7: 102 Washington Ave.
  • District 8: 21 Lum Ave.
  • District 9: 480 Main St

Chatham Township:

  • District 1 residents vote in the truck bay at the Green Village Fire House, 529 Green Village Rd.
  • District 2 and 4 residents vote in Webber Hall at 525 Shunpike Rd.
  • District 3 and 5 residents vote in the gym at 234 Southern Blvd.
  • District 6 residents vote in the all-purpose room of 58 Meyersville Rd.
  • District 7 residents vote in the court foyer of 58 Meyersville Rd.
  • District 8 and 9 residents vote in the all-purpose room at 495 River Rd.
  • District 10 residents vote in the all-purpose room at the Briarwood Coachlight Club House, 235 River Rd.
