Guitarist Rob Heinink will perform at Wharton Music Center located at 60 Locust Avenue in Berkeley Heights on Sunday, April 25, at 2:00 p.m. as Wharton Music Center's Faculty Artist Concert Series Sundays at Two continues. The concert series is open to the public. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for children. All proceeds go to support the artist.
Rob Heinink studied at St. Petersburg Junior College in Florida prior to attending Berklee College of Music where he studied guitar with Bill Leavitt, Pat Metheny, and John Damien. Mr. Heinink worked as a freelance musician and played guitar for The Drifters, Del Shannon, The Marvelettes, Chuck Berry, The Crystals, and Leslie Gore. He also played in Off-Broadway shows as well as a European tour of the musical Hair and productions of Tommy, Big River, Fiddler on the Roof, and Grease. Mr. Heinink has taught guitar throughout his career. Currently he teaches 20 private guitar students a week and is a member of the guitar faculty at Wharton Music Center.
