Help Paint A Morris Co. History Mural At Chatham's Fishawack Festival

CHATHAM BOROUGH, NJ — A traveling mural celebrating 250 years of Morris County history is coming to the Fishawack Festival this Saturday, June 6, and organizers want residents to pick up a brush and help paint it.

Created by artist Dan Fenelon, the Morris County 250th Traveling Mural spans the Revolutionary War era to the present day, highlighting the people, places, industries and defining moments that shaped the county and the country.

Scenes include Washington's Headquarters and Jockey Hollow, early colonial life, agriculture, iron mining, railroads, local arts and culture, and open space.

The community painting session runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fishawack Festival. Residents of all ages are welcome to participate.

As the mural travels throughout Morris County, each stop adds new sections painted by community members, making it a living, growing reflection of the county itself.
