Fan of the Week: Trish Peterson

Trish Peterson is Cougars Marching Band Head Roadie, and is a fan of the band and football team.

Each week, Chatham Patch will feature one of the Cougars football team's biggest fans. We'll get to know each of them a little, and find out what makes them follow Chatham gridiron stars, and in this case the band, so closely. This week, we meet Trish Peterson.

Fan of the Week: Trish Peterson

  • Who's your favorite Cougar? I have to say that my son, Quinn, who is a junior and plays in the drum line.
  • What has been your favorite Cougar moment? When the band plays at another field and the other band gives them a welcoming cheer. I think it's awesome to see kids do that.
  • What's your favorite concession food? At the Cougar Field snack shack, my favorite is the fresh popcorn made all day by the CHS Athletic Boosters.
  • What's the best part of a game that gets the least attention: Well, of course at the half, most of the fans are heading for the concessions, and so with all the work that these kids put in, I think the halftime show should get more attention.
  • How long have you been attending games? This is my third year following the team.
  • Craziest thing you've ever done as a fan? No question, becoming head roadie! We've got about 20 of us who have to get all the instruments to and on the fields and to the competitions we enter during the season. We have a truck, an ATV and three carts to move it all. I knew nothing about music a few years ago, and now I coordinate all of this.
