Gold Star Parent ID Cards Offered In Morris County

The ID is designed for parents of fallen service members, and will let them access the local "Operation Give Back Program."

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morris County will start offering Gold Star Parent ID cards to parent or guardians of members of the Armed Forces of the United States who died on active duty, Morris County Clerk Ann Grossi announced.

Parents with the Gold Star parent ID will be able to access discounts available to military families, Grossi said, including the county's "Operation Give Back Program." Over 275 local businesses currently participate in that program.

“The Gold Star Parent ID Card Program is a small way to honor and recognize the ultimate sacrifice that members of our armed forces have made to preserve our way of life,’’ said Grossi. “We recognize their honorable service and offer our heartfelt thanks and respect to their parents. Morris County is proud of its veterans and this ceremony honors their memory by providing this special card to their parents.”
